After a marvelous ten-years in business, we have decided to sell the cabin. We will be moving our Computer business to Downtown Oneonta, AL, which is about 4 miles away, but we will no longer be selling Antiques and Gifts.

. History: In 1966, it was a restaurant that specialized in smoked meats and hams. In the years since then, the restaurant closed and the building quickly went into disrepair. People lived in the cabin, and used it for storage and almost everything else that can be imagined.
We lovingly rescued Rosa’s Cabin in 2003, and you can tell from the pictures, we completely transformed an eyesore into a much loved, historic building, which is named in honor of the town where it is located.
In the upstairs, we decided to put in a 1000 sq. ft. apartment and it consists of one large bedroom with walk-in closet, living room, dining room, laundry room, bathroom and kitchen. We have modern appliances including on-demand, N.G, hotwater system. We have city water and natural gas and propane, too. There is access to high-speed internet and cable television. The upstairs area is not connected to the store internally, (for privacy sake,) and can be reached by steps in the back of the building, so it would make a great personal residence or rental property, or business office, or the whole house could easily be converted into a duplex house option. In fact, one of the rooms downstairs is already plumbed and has the electricity to be converted into a kitchen. All it needs are the cabinets and appliances for it to be fully functional as a kitchen.
The possibilities are endless for Rosa’s Cabin. People have literally begged us to open a restaurant because there are few high quality restaurants in this area, and it would make a very quaint country dining establishment, or whatever you wanted. Though Rosa’s Cabin is in a dry, non-alcohol area of Blount County, Oneonta and Blountsville have recently gone WET and that fact will bring in more traffic, people and tax revenue. There is a large walk-around porch which I always imagined with chairs and tables if the cabin ever became a restaurant.
Our location is terrific, we are on US Highway 231, in Blount County, AL., in a valley that is breathtaking year-round. Located centrally between the towns of Cleveland and Oneonta, AL and we have easy access to Susan Moore and Snead, over Cty Hwy 57, that is adjacent to the cabin. We are in the center of 3-historic covered bridges that the Chamber of Commerce and the County celebrate every year, with a festival in October which is scheduled for when the leaves are at their most beautiful. All three bridges are currently being retrofitted to last many more years. We are located only minutes away from Palisades Park, which Natural Geographic called a “hidden gem of the Appalachians.”
